The heart of the Pastor!

Matt 11:28-30  Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

This is one of my favorite scriptures because this includes all of us. Carrying the weight of our sin and bad decisions is a heavy burden to haul around.  With the free gift of salvation Jesus takes our weighed down lives and gives us eternal life. Giving Jesus our burdens is a lifelong process.  Sometime we have deep rooted hurts and they weight heavy on us as well; our past, our failures, our fears, doubts and lack of forgiveness. Then taking the time to learn of Christ and realizing Jesus is not hard to please.

Matt 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37 Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'  38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'  40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

This is my desire as a Pastor is for all to come to the goodness of Christ and fulfill His purpose for their lives.
